My 15-year-old niece, Amanda Fagan is a talented song writer. Below is a video of a song titled, ”Time to Set My Caged Bird Free.”
The first time I heard it, I couldn’t stop crying. I was watching her perform in a coffee shop. As I looked around the room, there were several women wiping tears from their faces as they listened.
The song made my heart ache for someone very dear to me whose husband had recently left her.
Ironically, this song was not written about a relationship that ended; it was about her pet bird. Sadly, she had to give it away after her mother was hospitalized with a lung infection from the bird’s feathers.
